The Colors of Winter #6

After a brief snow storm the colors of winter show show through once again.

The Colors of Winter #5

We usually think of the crocus as a spring flower but here in the Pacific Northwest we have had a very balmy January and this crocus bloomed today. It's still winter and this is colorful so I guess it counts as a color of winter.

The Colors of Winter #1

We tend to think of winter as a time of dark and gray. In reality there is color as rich a vibrant as summer or fall if you look for it. This is a first in a series, The Colors of Winter.

A Picture by Georg

Georg Posted by Hello
Georg, one of my partners in the political trenches over at Running Scared, sent me this lovely photo she took. Be sure and click on the picture to see the larger image. Sorry, I don't know where it is. Enjoy.
Update
Georg tells us about the picture.
It's a picture of Green Point on Raquette Lake, NY, at about 5:30 am on a summer morning in July, 2004. The fog is on its way in. 10 minutes later, and the lake was covered with pea soup. This one was all about timing.
