Grand Oasis Tavern

In 1977 a run down but historic block in downtown Portland was torn down and replaced by a new high rise. A few weeks before the buildings were vacated I went down with my camera and captured the block on Kodachrome for history. I can almost smell the odor of cigarettes and stale beer coming out of the open door.
